New Painting start

 The new painting had been started already and this time that I tried another technique for human figure. I have been in second process for now(In first step of under drawing). I am waiting for dry out then I will continue the process.


新作スタート
先日まで実験作や旧作の続行やらやっていましたが、実験作で狙いの表現方法が失敗した（資料DVDで大事な行程を見逃していた）ので再び新たな実験新作を開始。実験部分は主に人物の表現なので前からやってみたかった顔をでっかく、って言う構図です（笑）。まだ第二段階の途中。乾燥待ちです。

February House Orchids

I purchased new Odontoglossum at food market but I can not figured out exact name as usual. Orchids are sold reasonable price in this age at super market or home depot. but their all no any details on plant. That is not comfortable for orchid lover...sigh.

But I still can not believe Whitney Huston has been gone.... I was in great shock.

２月の蘭

昨日スーパーでオドントグロッサムを購入（画像１、２）。昔と違っていまやスーパーやホームセンターで安く蘭が買える様になったのはとても嬉しいのだけれど、株の細かい情報が書いてないのがとても困る。。。という訳で今咲いている３つの蘭はどれも株の名前が不明です（汗）。

昨日飛び込んできたホイットニー∙ヒューストンが亡くなったというニュースが未だに大変ショックです。。。本当に吃驚しました。

Engraving sand bag

Finally My engraving sand bag has come!!! This is 9" diameter so it is big enough for me( and heavy of course). I have still press machine problem but I'll make plate anyway.... I may print ay somewhere
and someday like before. (And may be I'll try my problem small press machine a cup of hundred times more....sigh)
I put plate mark already. I think that I finally got satisfied plate mark by my myself after at least 7th to 8th copperplate works.


クッサン♪
オーダーしていたクッサンが遂に来ました♪第一印象は「でかい！重い！」（当たり前だ　笑）直径９インチ（２２cm？２３cm？）のもので自分には十分な大きさです。自分にとって銅板や木版などのの版画の彫りは絵を描く上での大切な気分転換と集中力とか制作に必要なベクトルをを高める上でなくてはならないものになっています。まだ肝心のプレス機の問題はなんの解決もしていないので刷れないのですが（またまた自前の小型プレス機を試してみます。。。あと数百回位試せばコツが掴めるかも！？。。。涙目）とにかく版は作っておこう、そのうちまたきっとどこかで刷れるさっ♪という気概で楽しんでいますw

画像２：プレートマークを作った銅板。７、８回のプレートマーク作りを経てようやく自分でも多少納得のいくプレートマークが作れる様になったかな、と思う今日この頃でした（笑）。

Brownish Dammer varnish

Every books(data-book, information book, art technique book,etc) said "Dammer varnish is safe to use because it is not become yellowish for long time or it is not become yellowish than other medium oils.
 And I used to believe until today. But I picked up few drops of Dammer varnish for coating surface of my finished painting so I found terribly brownish Dammer varnish and I was so surprised.

The photo is two Dammer varnish. Both Dammer vanish is exactly same company's which is Shiva Dammer varnish 473ml can and  950ml can.Left one is 473ml can and I think this one purchased with in this two years. The other one(Right) is "Brownish" one. It may not look so bad but this is because of only photo effect. Real one is more more brownish!!

Well, I better not buy large can from now. I prefer to buy two small cans instead of one large can.....
I hope there is the way to "turn back to white" like linseed oil under sun, but I don't think so.....


ダンマール樹脂の茶変

お客さんに作品を引き渡す前に保護コーティングをもう一度しようと思ってダンマール樹脂を取り出してぎょっとした。ものすご〜い茶色い。。。いやもう、「これあり得ないでしょ？」っていうレベル。。。なんかこんなの，初めて見た。。。（汗）もともとダンマールは黄変し難い、安定している，という理由でワニスに使われている，筈である。１０年単位でもわずかな黄変しか見られない，という事も手持ちの本にしっかりと書いてある。。。問題のダンマールだって昨日今日買ったものではないけれど５年は経ってない。置いてある場所も他のと同じいつもの冷暗所。画像（右）ではうっすら茶色にみえるだけだが実際はもうしっかりはっきり茶色い。。。

ダンマールは他のオイルよりも使うし、黄変もしないと思っていたので大きな缶を買ったけどもう買わない〜〜（汗）今後は小さな缶をふたつ、とかにします。現像液みたく、減った分だけ酸化を防ぐ為にビー玉を入れる，って手もあるけど面倒だし止めとこう。
。。。あ〜軟質樹脂オイルだからリンシードとかみたいに真夏の太陽の下に置いとくと白くもとに戻らないかなぁ。。。。うん，無理だね。。。無理か。。。（涙目）
当面の問題は処理の問題。何かに再利用できればいいのだけれど、こんな大缶の中身どうやって捨てるんだorz。。。
